Instead of sharing my typical content, I'm going to share something from someone else. One of my favorite bands is Our Last Night. I know their type a music might not be appealing to everyone considering they are a metal rock band, the genre of music I almost exclusively listen to, but they also has a ton of great messaging in their lyrics. I might expand on why I listen to this genre of music in the future because it has had a great impact on my life.
They released an album in 2017 titled Selective Hearing. This might be the most appropriate name for an album at the time and the tracks on the album follow the same theme. I want to share a song from that album that really helps me focus on my life. The song is Broken Lives and, even though it isn't my favorite song on the album, it gives a message that we need to stop finding someone else to blame for our problems, even if legitimate, and start by looking in the mirror to understand who is in control of our lives.
