We've had a very eventful last few weeks in progressive Madison, WI. The overturning of Roe sent everyone into a spiral.
It started out as a long string of stupidity and self contradictory memes and platitudes on social media by some of my more progressive friends. That was sad because these are people who I know are smart but are gripped by an ideology that demands voluntary ignorance. I even had some friends who requested that "those who don't believe in a women's right to an abortion can delete me from my friends list now." Needless to say, my friends list has gotten much smaller per their request.
Then this weekend I took my family to the farmer's market where I had to shield my 9 and 10 year old's eyes from a line of top less college women protesting "THE PATRIARCHY!" - a protest method that was clearly made up by a man.
And finally I wake up to news of churches and religious organizations being graffiti'd all over town.
Oh how closed-minded the self-proclaimed open-minded can be. #NeverGoFullRetard
I was listening to some news updates when I heard this CNN clip about the potentially hazardous water in East Palestine, and as soon as I heard her ask the question about whether or not her guest would drink the water, I IMMEDIATELY thought of this clip from South Park. Enjoy.
