I don't think I'll be able to finish my review for the day. Other than finishing up editing a new podcast with Truman from @ReturnToReason, the Chapter 12: Class review has proven to be a SOB to write, mostly because there are so many contraindications and revisionist historical narratives that need to be exposed for the garbage they are.
This chapter specifically irks me because it is the first time Kendi builds the false relationship with racism and capitalism. The second two-thirds of this chapter literally read like it was written by Howard Zinn, at least that's what I thought as I was reading it, and then I found out Howard Zinn is one of his hidden sources (hidden meaning he didn't cite Howard Zinn's name directly in his text). Kendi was brave enough to cite, and agree with, the little known Karl Marx... geez. Kendi so far has been smart enough to disguise his political beliefs behind some sort of veil of reason, but this chapter he openly goes full Marxist.
I was listening to some news updates when I heard this CNN clip about the potentially hazardous water in East Palestine, and as soon as I heard her ask the question about whether or not her guest would drink the water, I IMMEDIATELY thought of this clip from South Park. Enjoy.
