Man, this weekend has been crazy. I wasn’t able to create any new content, but I’ve been able to keep up with some reading. As you all probably know, I’ve started reading How to be an Antiracist by Ibram Kendi. I’ve read the first few chapters and have almost run out of highlighter because of how often I’m highlighting these insane ideas expressed by Kendi.
In order to ensure less people feel the need to read this book, I’ll be quoting a few lines that stuck out to me in each chapter and giving my quick opinion. I plan on writing a full review of the book when I finish reading it, but giving smaller bits and pieces at a time might be an easier way for you all to digest this nonsense.
Yes, I’m trying to go into reading this book with an open mind hoping I learn something or get something useful out of it, but what I’ve gathered from most of the ideas expressed in the few chapters, this dude is just spouting pure evil. There is literally no difference between Ibram X. Kendi and Richard Spencer, and I find it horrifying anyone takes either of those two people seriously. But these ideas are the basis for the growing ideology at-large and we must do our best to understand it so we know how to fight it. I hope you all can find some value in this exercise.
